you know, i thought i was staying at a hotel, but it was more like a rundown horror movie set. the stairway was filthy and the lighting in the room was so dim i could barely see. also, there was not even a hint of complimentary anything for my troubles, which is absurd. i almost left a nice review but just couldn’t.

easy access to dining and parks nearby for city wanderers
my stay was pretty good with a comfy bed and it was great being just a short walk to places like Nico's Pizza & Grinders and the National Trout Memorial, perfect for a weekend city stroll.

missingWrote a review on Oct 24run down exteriordim lighting
The exterior was run down, and the lighting in the room was so dim it made it hard to see anything. I had no hot water for my shower, which was incredibly frustrating. The lack of basic amenities like bar soap and proper staff presence made the experience even worse.

The bed was comfortable, but the hot water was ice cold.

missingWrote a review on Sept 02rundown exterior
The exterior needs serious attention. it has a rundown appearance, especially the stairway that looked dirty. Lighting in the room barely illuminated the space, making it tough to even read a map. Also, beware—the hot water takes an eternity to heat up, which can throw off your plans in the morning. The bathroom door's width is a concern for anyone needing wheelchair access, making it less accessible than advertised. No real lobby presence means checking in feels a bit impersonal, and it's unclear how many folks are permanent residents here.

missingWrote a review on Jul 21scenic fishing lakespicturesque wine tournoise issues
Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed exploring the nearby scenic fishing lakes and checking out a picturesque wine tour along the Old Mission Peninsula. The location couldn't be better for accessing these spots. Bring your own toiletries for a smooth stay.
We did have some noise issues with parties that kept us up at night, it was pretty distracting. Something to consider if you're planning on a quiet getaway.

I recently spent the night and the room was clean with a comfy bed, but the bathroom was impossibly small, and there was a loud party that kept me up all night.

It was just a balanced option for a getaway in Kalkaska with all in all brilliant value for money. The coffee and muffins in the morning were a nice surprise and gave a good start to the day. Bring your own toiletries for a more comfortable stay.

Travelers looking for low cost
The location was decent, couple fast food spots and there's this diner called Breakfast and Burgers that was something, a must try believe me. I can't say I'm picky, but I appreciated that the room was clean enough to feel comfortable and sleep without fear of dirt or who knows what.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, I mean it was $60 a night, but given the state of other places, I found it acceptable.
